About Holy Innocents' Episcopal School

Holy Innocents' Episcopal School (HIES) celebrated its 40th Anniversary during the 1999-2000 school year. The school has over 1200 students in grades Pre-K through 12 and is situated on a lovely 33-acre site in Sandy Springs, GA, a northwest suburb of Atlanta. The school is affiliated with Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church, which shares the campus and houses the weekly Chapel services for students.

The Upper School graduated its first class in 1995. Students are taught in two classroom buildings, including the new Upper School Wing, which was opened just in time for the 1999-2000 school year.

The average class size in the Upper School is 18 and the student to teacher ratio is 10:1.
